SYNOPSIS
When we look at the sky and marvel at the twinkling of the stars, admiring how the inexplicable cosmic disorder dances in harmony, and we speculate with the unknown: if there is life in other galaxies, or how the universe can have no limits and is still expanding… we are like those retirees who, now that they have time, occupy it by observing a work in progress, in the midst of the creation process. And while they speculate on its result, they contemplate and listen to the noise of entropy, and how imperceptibly everything is transformed.
However, if there is extraterrestrial life… If there is someone who has bothered to look here from afar, and has taken the time to contemplate our evolutionary process… If there is a superior intelligence beyond that has allowed itself to speculate on the meaning of our existence… of our mission (what on earth are we doing here)… perhaps it must disturb them to see how we invest so much effort in building what seems to be our own tomb.
